Most second hand Japanese sites, including orders placed with shopping services, will second buyers two invoices. The first is for the cost of the item. The second is for the cost of shipping overseas. (This is also true for orders placed with Chinese shopping services or through Taobao). This can make it very difficult to guess the total cost of an item, because you have no idea how much shipping will cost.
In an effort to demystify this part of the shopping experience, I’m going to weigh 3 of several different kinds of items related to lolita fashion. I’ll also include common packing materials, including plastic envelopes. I’ll also link to Japan Post’s prices for different weights. All weights listed are in grams.
